it's not an 'idiot box' alex.. if you think and reflect after everything you see and hear and experience from the 'idiot box', you will be amazed how much more you can learn from it then from the 'real life' or books.
trust me. maybe i'm just too imaginative or creative to be able come up with ideas by watching tv. but think about it. watching movies is deemed to be watching lives. if you get what i mean.. where's the best place to learn about life and stuffs than tv? of course the mix of programs are a defining factor of how good watching that station is. anyhow with our abilities to filter the bads, open-minded and receptive of new info and reflection. i believe there's no better education means than tv.
too bad. i'll be the first to object Donald Trump's decision to watch less tv but only CNN coz i bet i'm 100 times more creative than him thanks to tv exposure. even though DT is stil my number 1 idol. hehe. how many people get the chance to go all over the world to learn new things?? what's better alternative than tv that compiles the gists of what others observe and find meaningful and document for our leisure entertainment and at the same time learning??
okay i'm sure there are bound to be objections to my view points. but before you object, i have to state this. BALANCE your TV time. i never ask people to watch TV 24hours a day, 12 hours a day, 6 or even 3? maybe 3 is acceptable. and choose wisely. have a good mix of different exposures. once you learn the underlying concept of 1 tv show or TV station, move on to the next new type to expand your visions and ideas or mindset. don't be over addicted to any 1 that eventually might close your mind to acceptance of only 1 cool thing.
enough said. decide for yourself. =P lol! i love TV! and many things in life!! =)
okay 1 more thing. INTERNET is COMPATIBLE. =P
