it took me some time to decide if i should post my biz idea here coz i wasn't sure if i'll be given an opportunity to publish my biz ideas column with a major daily newspaper soon. well i might be too optimistic but if you believe me, you know i have much more to offer. the only reason i am still keeping myself in the box is because i don't get enough recognition and reward to push me forward and out to share.
well another biz idea today.
questions of thought:
1. do you seriously think anyone alive wants to retire?
2. what will you be doing if you are not working?
3. what do the senior citizens feel "alive" when retired?
4. how much experience and mentoring ca the senior citizens offer to the youths?
5. how willing are the youths to receive mentoring from the wise and experienced?
6. how willing are the senior citizens to share what they experienced and not expecting money in return but a wonderful time with the sincere juniors, and most of all being appreciated and loved?
think about it. can we set up a moderated web portal and an association to provide this platform for both to meet, share and learn from each other?
probably you are skeptical that this is merely a benevolent act. strictly not biz-like! well think again.
first of all, you definitely get the youths who are POSITIVE CHANGE AGENTS through this channel because those who care are definitely those who really want to pick up something invaluable. these positive change agents can not only polish the name and reputation of your company as a CSR conscious company, but very much likely to be your potential employees in the future. so much on the CSR you created i bet i don't have to further elaborate.
what about hardcore money?!!
well, your site will be an alternative means for you to advertise for your corporate image, branding. also you can earn much from first establishing a web portal for socially responsible practice which later can be a portal for you to expand your contacts, networks, and provision of services and products which will churn in revenues. more money making ways through website set up can be found and learned i'll leave that to you.
if you manage to get the best senior citizens to volunteer mentoring for your organization's association, you might even get more than expected demand for the service and that could churn in even more money! provided that you have an edge in negotiation skills which can convince the mentor to mentor for free whereas the extra mentees may habe to pay for additional classes.
